We held the public consultation on Our Mountain’s Future from 23 October to 4 December 2024.
All Tasmanians were given a chance to have their say.
We prepared a short discussion paper to help start the conversation. It introduced the three themes for the review and included discussion prompts.

Written submission
We asked everyone, including organisations and special interest groups, to make a written submission in response to the discussion paper

Children’s postcard campaign
Young people’s voices are important too as the future of Tasmania.
We prepared a postcard specifically for children so they could write or draw what they like about kunanyi/Mount Wellington and what they thought would make it even better.
We will publish some of the postcards we have received on the website soon.

We hosted 28 in-person community pop-ups in the Greater Hobart area for anyone to drop in and have their say. We also held targeted focus groups to hear from the community in greater depth.
